A global accounting consulting division rented the entire facility for their planning meeting at our Ashling Business Retreat. They decided to try Ashling Business Retreat in Spring Lake, NJ after a bad experience in a similar facility in the Hamptons on Long Island, NY six months before. At the Hamptons facility, they did not receive the personal and professional meeting attention they felt they needed to achieve peak meeting performance and results. During the proposal stage of the negotiations to provide meeting services, the representative of the consulting firm communicated the needs for an environment to not only achieve their task of developing a new strategy for their division, but to develop close personal relationships to improve their teamwork within the group. The representative also informed the owner that his reputation was at stake for the successful implementation of their meeting agenda and plans. The result was so successful, that the group is now planning a return visit in September 2001 to revisit, update and expand on the strategy and plans for the business. |

| A group of females, who were alumnae of a major university, meet quarterly
to develop plans for their financial portfolio. They decided to try
Ashling Business Retreat in December 2000 for a facility for their financial
discussions and planning.
The group wanted to couple their business challenge in an environment of a “homey” setting during the holiday season. The group particularly enjoyed the relaxing environment of the living room at Ashling Business Retreat with its comfortable couches and chairs around the fireplace as the “homey” setting they were seeking. This setting allowed for a personal touch to the business intent of the group. They particularly liked the opportunity to walk to the four star restaurant right across the Spring Lake walking bridge for a night of creative dining and conversation. They are already planning a return visit. This time they say they will allow for some additional time to stay over for more personal time as well. |
