The porch is carpeted making it quiet even on the busiest days. There are tables just for couples and some for groups. The view is spectacular with the ocean on one side and the lake on the other. The beautiful landscaped properties are in full view in this airy setting. |

It offers an alternative eating area in wintry inclement weather, where the guests can be comfortable near the living room fireplace and still be able to see the beautiful scenery. Coffee is available throughout the day, using the microwave oven for a quick turnaround. The beauty of the refinished original flooring sparkles poignantly in this room. |

Over 2500 guests have entered these portals over six years. In 2004, 60% of these guests were returning guests. Ashling Cottage Award-winning Plaques are visible here. This portal is also the exit to the ocean and beach 1 block to the east. It could be the start of a 4-block walk to town for boutique shopping or a block to the lake to view the beauty of the wooden footbridges and the swans and ducks that populate the scenery. |
