The dining room is a comfortable room to savor your snacks, enjoy complimentary beverages, play games, plan your day and evening dinner and entertainment using the information and brochure materials provided.

You will feel like you are having breakfast outdoors in a floral garden. When you look to the east you see the ocean, when you look to the west you see the ‘wedding-perfect’ lake in Spring Lake. The fresh flowers on the tables and summer's ocean breezes through the open breezeway provides an incredible way to enjoy your tastefully-fresh breakfast.

		Fresh coffee is available in this room every morning before and during breakfast. The dining room offers additional eating space for morning breakfasts. It offers an alternative eating area in wintry inclement weather, where the guests can be comfortable near the living room fireplace and still be able to see the beautiful scenery. Coffee is available throughout the day, using the microwave oven for a quick turnaround. The oak cabinets add an antique elegance. The beauty of the refinished original flooring sparkles poignantly in this room.
The dining room refrigerator is available for guests to store their own beverages. Ice is available from the refrigerator's ice freezer.

The living room has a quiet respite for reading and relaxing in a beach-fresh ambiance. The wicker furniture offers an air of a breeze in the summer. The fireplace lends its warmth to the setting during the off-season. The refinished floors lend a quiet luxuriousness to the surroundings. There are plenty of up-to-date books and magazines to provide their stories and articles of interest to the guests on their restful getaway. TV can be enjoyed on our 33” HD flat screen TV with cable connection.

Couples enjoy relaxing on the large couches with their fluffy pillows. The wicker rocker and comfortable recliner help to while away the time while chatting, reading or just relaxing.

This view illustrates the beauty of the entryway for Ashling Cottage. Guests are welcomed at this point and their facilities and services tour begins here. Over 2500 guests have entered these portals over six years. In 2004, 60% of these guests were returning guests during the ownership of the present Innkeepers. Ashling Cottage Award-winning Plaques are visible here. This portal is also the exit to the ocean and beach 1 block to the east. It could be the start of a 2-block walk to town for boutique shopping or a block to the lake to view the beauty of the wooden footbridges and the swans and ducks that populate the scenery.

The cherry veneer cabinets highlight this very beautiful, yet functional, kitchen. This is the production facility for delivering the healthy breakfasts that our guests enjoy every week. The appliances are like-new including the six-burner Viking gas fired stove and oven. The island in the center becomes a functional hub for preparing the breakfast menu along with the center island satellite sink. A view through the entry way to the living room provides an indication of waiting guests. The pantry to the right of the entry way offers convenient storage for breakfast staples.

Room #3 or 'Heavenly' is typical of our Deluxe Rooms. This room reflects the light, airy fresh feel and look of our tastefully decorated room. Our Deluxe Rooms are the larger of the 11 rooms in the B&B.

Room #10 or 'English Rose' is typical of one of our Premium Rooms - a true delight.

One of the most popular pastimes, in season, is to relax, read, cuddle, and maybe even sleep in the hammock, located along the side of the B&B grounds. What a wonderful spot to enjoy the floral landscaping and trestle nearby.
